Project Osmace

Since 2022, we have organised annual creative weeks during which music theatre projects are created together with the children of Osmace. Osmace is a mountain village in the municipality of Srebrenica. The local school is attended by children from families who returned to their village after the civil war in the 1990s.

Osmace is also one of the first places where Crea Thera International became active, starting in 2008. Continuing to invest in this community remains important in the context of addressing transgenerational trauma and strengthening a sense of connection and belonging.

Through music theatre, music therapist Thomas Deleu works around themes such as identity, connection with the local environment, and self-expression. Azmir Masic, a local resident and farmer from Osmace, supports the project and has been connected with CTI for many years.

Together with the children and the local community, a creative process is developed that culminates in a presentation at the end of the week.

Osmace – Documentary

In the mountain village of Osmace, in the Srebrenica region, Crea Thera International organises annual music theatre projects lasting several weeks. During these sessions, different themes are explored that are connected to the identity of the village and its inhabitants.

The village, which suffered greatly during the civil war in the 1990s, is now being rebuilt by returnees and their families. Their children also participate in the sessions. Crea Thera International strongly believes in investing in new generations and in the power of art as a means of connection, processing experiences, and building a future.
